At its most impressionable, the public may feel they have some sort of ownership/association with a brand and and feel a profound connection with its philosophy.

This will establish your brand's style and protect it from degrading over time as other agencies involved.
Branding Summary
In general, corporate identity amounts to a corporate title, logo (logotype and/or logogram), and other supporting devices commonly assembled within a set of guidelines. In its simplest form, these guidelines govern how the identity is applied and confirms the approved colour palette, typeface and page layout across all physical manifestations of the brand. These guidelines are usually formulated into a packadge of tools called Corporate Identity Manuals.
